What is Proud Mitten Culinary Concepts?

Simply put… we are a community cooking school.

Our space, however, is so much more than a space with culinary classes! We weave community, local foods, and fresh ingredients by COOKING, CREATING & COLLABORATING TOGETHER!

Proud Mitten Culinary Concepts is a Neighborhood teaching kitchen which provides a collection of hands-on culinary class offerings. Chef education for all ages and abilities, reaching our community and beyond.

Our chef instructors provide seasonal classes as individual skill based classes, personalized gatherings for custom events, and much more.

Proud Mitten Culinary Concepts is a hub for budding chefs and their students. Community-minded and focused on risk reduction for chefs looking to showcase their talents, our space provides a flexible environment removing barriers to entry into the Michigan culinary scene.

An array of educational hands-on classes and cuisines always captivate our neighborhood and beyond.

Our creative chefs take advantage of our seasons and fresh Michigan-grown ingredients. This expansion from Proud Mitten Shared Kitchen will provide hybrid space for continued client growth and enrichment opportunities for both chefs and their customers.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS

Food Handlers Certificate: Shared Kitchens require a high level of sanitation and need to maintain high standards at all times.  Most small businesses already have their ServSafe Certificate. Licensure: You will need your business license in order to work in our kitchen as a small business. This license applies to those looking to get their business off the ground by producing food and selling in it within the community. Proud Mitten requires you have your own license to be able to identify working in our commercial environment.
If you do not have your license yet, we can be part of the process.

Liability Insurance: Must be CURRENT and up to date. Likely, you will be carrying your own liability insurance to run your business. You will need to provide your own liability insurance.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ALL OF THE ABOVE, WE CAN STILL HELP. CONTACT US TO SET UP A TIME TO TALK ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS NEEDS. EVERY SMALL BUSINESS IS UNIQUE.

LET'S TALK ABOUT HOW WE CAN ACCOMMODATE YOUR COMPANY IN OUR COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT.
